Travel We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for animmediate travel opening in Monroe, LA. The right US Tech must have1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements. As a US Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the ultrasoundmachine and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on tophysicians for medical interpretation. US Techs are alsoresponsible for the preparation of and caring for patientsundergoing ultrasound testing. Tasks As a US Tech, you should be prepared to perform the followingtasks: Educate patients and/or patient’s family regarding proceduresperformed Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) ofconcern Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists withultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to theappropriate medical staff Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results Maintain accurate patient records Understand and use the McKesson PACS system Requirements Must have 1 year of experience. Must have
BLS, ARDMS
NationalCertification, and state-specific licensing when required. US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time,as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs musthave a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology andmedical terminology. Requirements
