Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program Minimumof one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound TechnologistCurrent BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Valid Ultrasound license incompliance with state regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

CurrentRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)Current ARRT Certification in sonography Other certifications orlicenses may be required for this position

Summary:

The UltrasoundTechnologist (Sonographer)

• Gen/Vascular uses high-frequency soundwaves to generate images of patients’ internal organs and bloodvessels.

They ensure patients are prepped for examinations, performultrasound scans, and analyze sonograms for diagnostic purposes.

The role requires advanced technical skills, patient-centered care,and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Essential Work Functions:

Demonstrate an understanding of humananatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology Collaboratewith multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnosticimaging into patient care plans Prepare and position patient toensure accurate imaging and prioritize their comfort and safetyPerform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinationsof general and vascular studies Evaluate images for clarity andaccuracy Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all ultrasoundequipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safetystandards Apply technical expertise and critical thinking toperform sonographic procedures effectively Work efficiently infast-paced and high-pressure environments while maintainingprofessionalism Maintain accurate patient records and documentationin compliance with legal and regulatory standards

RequiredEssential Skills:

Critical thinking, service excellence and goodinterpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, &communicate in the English language is required Ability toread/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

• Remain in astationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
• To workeffectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
• Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public,customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able towork under close supervision occasionally as well as workingwithout assistance from other personnel.
