Summary:

MaineHealth Obstetrics and Gynecologyis highly recognized for the level of patient care that is provided to patients across the state of Maine and Southern New Hampshire.

Our state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment allows up to produce high quality diagnostic images. We pride ourselves for being AIUM accredited in several area to include Obstetric (first, second and third trimester), detailed fetal anatomical survey, fetal echocardiographer and GYN to include 3D imaging. With our extensive knowledge and academic interest in the field we continue to be a teaching facility for the surrounding ultrasound programs as well as the residency pogrom at Maine Medical Center Portland. Training and education will be provided with a requirement of becoming Fetal Echo certified. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:

Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience to be eligible for registration as a Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

License/Certifications:

Current American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Certification or full registration in at least one specialty area is expected according to departmental/local health system requirements. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

Experience:

Six months of Diagnostic Ultrasound experience preferred.
