Summary:
Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer role performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1.
Education:
Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience to be eligible for registration as a Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). 2.
License/Certifications:
Current American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Certification or full registration in at least one specialty area is expected according to departmental/local health system requirements. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3.
Experience:
Six months of Diagnostic Ultrasound experience preferred. 4.
