/n ASonographer performs diagnostic medical imaging using ultrasoundequipment to assess and monitor various conditions related to theabdomen, pelvis, heart, blood vessels, and other parts of the body.

They collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to providecritical diagnostic information used to guide patient care andtreatment. /n/n

Key Responsibilities:

/n /n

• Perform and interpretdiagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic,obstetric, cardiac, and vascular studies. /n
• Prepare and positionpatients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring their comfort andsafety during the examination. /n
• Operate ultrasound equipmentand ensure the proper functioning of imaging systems. /n
• Analyzeultrasound images and provide detailed reports of findings toassist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. /n
• Maintainaccurate and detailed patient records, documenting imaging resultsand clinical data. /n
• Collaborate with physicians and otherhealthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patientcare. /n
• Educate patients and families about the purpose ofultrasound procedures, results, and what to expect during exams. /n
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection controlpractices, and quality assurance standards. /n
• Perform routinemaintenance on ultrasound equipment and escalate issues as needed./n
• Participate in continuing education and stay current withadvancements in ultrasound technology and techniques. /n
• Providesupport in developing care plans based on imaging results, workingalongside multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic MedicalSonography or a related field. /n

• Certification:

  /n /n

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) preferred. /n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. /n /n /n
