Overview:

A DG Registered Vascular Sonographer Dual Registered isresponsible for performing various vascular and diagnosticultrasound exams. This role is responsible for interpreting andanalyzing ultrasound images to provide comprehensive reports, aswell as maintaining patient records and facilitating effectivecommunication among the healthcare team. Working under directsupervision, this position is responsible for operating,maintaining and preparing ultrasound equipment and supplies forpatient testing.

Conductsultrasound examinations using advanced imaging technology,capturing clear and detailed images to aid in accurate diagnosis,treatment planning, and monitoring patient progress. Interprets andanalyzes ultrasound images to provide comprehensive reports forphysicians and aid in timely and accurate diagnosis for appropriatepatient management and improved healthcare outcomes. Maintains andprepares ultrasound equipment and supplies for patient testing toensure optimal performance and image quality. Adheres to strictsafety protocols during ultrasound procedures to minimize risks andensure patient well-being. Provides excellent patient care byaddressing patient concerns, explaining procedures, and ensuringcomfort throughout the imaging process to increase patientsatisfaction and cooperation. Maintains and reviews patient recordsand charts, and files test and examination results in chart afterphysician review to support efficient healthcare delivery andfacilitate effective communication among the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

Required:

High School Diploma orequivalent Graduate of an accredited Radiology, Imaging or relatededucational program and/or ultrasound program

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING

Required:

RegisteredVascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS or Registered VascularSonographer (RVS) by CCI and Registered Diagnostic UltrasoundTechnologist by ARDMS or Registered Ultrasound Technologist by ARRTRT(S) BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
