Full Job Description Overview:
The Clinic Sonographer conducts ultrasound examinations using imaging technology. This role is responsible for interpreting and analyzing ultrasound images to provide comprehensive reports, as well as maintaining patient records and facilitating effective communication among the healthcare team. Working under direct supervision, the Clinic Sonographer is responsible for maintaining and preparing ultrasound equipment and supplies for patient testing.
Responsibilities:
Conducts ultrasound examinations using advanced imaging technology, capturing clear and detailed images to aid in accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring patient progress. Interprets and analyzes ultrasound images to provide comprehensive reports for physicians and aid in timely and accurate diagnosis for appropriate patient management and improved healthcare outcomes. Maintains and prepares ultrasound equipment and supplies for patient testing to ensure optimal performance and image quality. Adheres to strict safety protocols during ultrasound procedures to minimize risks and ensure patient well-being. Provides excellent patient care by addressing patient concerns, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout the imaging process to increase patient satisfaction and cooperation. Maintains and reviews patient records and charts, and files test and examination results in chart after physician review to support efficient healthcare delivery and facilitate effective communication among the healthcare team. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Completion of a school of Ultrasound Technology by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) – Sonography
