Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer specializing in OB/GYN and diagnostic breast ultrasounds to join our patient-focused team in a private office setting. This position is responsible for conducting a full range of obstetric, gynecologic, and breast imaging while maintaining high standards of care, safety, and compliance with AIUM and HIPAA guidelines. A strong candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, proficiency with diverse ultrasound modalities, and the ability to communicate clearly with both patients and the medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

Obstetric Ultrasounds

• First Trimester Dating & Viability Scans
• Nuchal Translucency (NT) Measurements (if certified)
• Anatomy Scans (20-week detailed anatomy assessment)
• Growth Scans (fetal weight and interval monitoring)
• Biophysical Profiles (BPP)
• Cervical Length Evaluations (transvaginal)
• Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI) checks
• Placental Position & Maturity Assessment
• Multiple Gestation Monitoring
• Follow-up and targeted scans as ordered Gynecologic Ultrasounds
• Pelvic Ultrasounds (transabdominal and transvaginal)
• Follicular Monitoring and Ovulation Studies
• Uterine and Ovarian Pathology Evaluation (fibroids, cysts, masses)
• Endometrial Thickness Measurements
• IUD Placement Confirmation
• Evaluation for abnormal bleeding or pelvic pain Diagnostic Breast Ultrasounds
• Screening and Diagnostic Breast Imaging
• Evaluation of Palpable Lumps or Masses
• Follow-up of Mammographic Abnormalities
• Ultrasound-Guided Localization
• Pre-surgical or pre-biopsy mapping (as needed)
• Documentation of lymph nodes and surrounding tissues
• Assist with ultrasound correlation of mammographic findings

Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from a CAAHEP-accredited program.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience:

• Required:

  0-1 year of clinical sonography experience

Preferred:

1-2 years in OB/GYN and/or breast ultrasound imaging

Licensure/Certifications:

• ARDMS certification in OB/GYN (OB/GYN Registry) required on hire
• BLS Certification preferred
• Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification preferred
• ARRT Certification (Breast or general sonography) is a plus
