Part-time, PRN Qualifications:

High school or equivalent (required) Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Sonography (preferred) BLS Certification (preferred) ARDMS Certification (required) Minimum 2 years experience (required)

Candidates MUST:

Demonstrate understanding of all ultrasound procedures and equipment including PACS systems Facilitate patient experience by verifying patient’s identity and clearly explaining procedural processes Provide quality care to patients and performs diagnostic quality ultrasound studies (Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Cardiac and/or Small Parts) Have good communication skills, be capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, and adaptable with new and various types of situations and procedures based on patient need Conduct environmental and safety procedures including cleaning and sterilizing the exam room and equipment Evaluate and maintain supply levels and practice safe patient maneuvers Cover a variety of clinical settings, including outreach clinics, which may involve extended commute times Able to meet physical demands of job with pushing, pulling, or lifting Able to remain calm in emergencies or patient distress Able to communicate effectively with physicians, clients, and team members Must be compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems Document the patient’s exam through data entry, report retrieval, scanning, and recording the exam details in the Electronic Medical Records systems Board certified licensure through ARDMS (Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular Technology) Minimum 2+ years experience The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this position.
