RequiredQualifications:

Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program Minimum of one year of recent experience as an UltrasoundTechnologist Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification(ARDMS) Current ARRT Certification in sonography Other certifications or licenses may be required for thisposition

Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)

• Gen/Vascular uses high-frequency sound waves to generate images ofpatients’ internal organs and blood vessels.

They ensure patientsare prepped for examinations, perform ultrasound scans, and analyzesonograms for diagnostic purposes. The role requires advancedtechnical skills, patient-centered care, and collaboration withmultidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Essential Work Functions:

Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology,pathology, and medical terminology Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams tointegrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans Prepare and position patient to ensure accurate imaging andprioritize their comfort and safety Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonographyexaminations of general and vascular studies Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all ultrasound equipmentto ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards Apply technical expertise and critical thinking to performsonographic procedures effectively Work efficiently in fast-paced and high-pressure environmentswhile maintaining professionalism Maintain accurate patient records and documentation incompliance with legal and regulatory standards

Required EssentialSkills:

Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonalcommunication skills The ability to read, write, & communicate in the Englishlanguage is required Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbalinstructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

• Remain in a stationary position, moveabout, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
• To work effectively with a variety ofpersonnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positiveattitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills
• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
• Must be able to cope with frequentcontact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlinesunder pressure. Must be able to work under close supervisionoccasionally as well as working without assistance from otherpersonnel.
