Qualifications Education:
Associate degree – 2 Year / Associate Degree,required. Graduate of AMA approved ultrasound program, ARDMScertified.
Experience:
One year Ob/Gyn experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
RDMS, OB
required. NT Certificationpreferred.
Additional skills required:
Must be NT certified within first year of employment. Must have current BLS certification upon hire and maintainthroughout employment as required by department. Must maintain ARDMS certification. Excellent communication skills required. Working knowledge of various ultrasound devices. Must have ability to independently obtain high quality imagesneeded to assist MFM physician with diagnosis. Perform high-level sterilization according to ClinicalCompliance standards following each exam. Ability to successfully complete departmental andorganizational skills validation and competencies as required.
Additional skills required:
Able to perform independently to obtain high quality images andadvanced Doppler techniques. Able to assist MFM physician with complex procedures. Ability to put patient at ease during ultrasound(s) andprocedure(s). Reconciles patient’s medical and prenatal history, currentmedications, medication allergies etc. Demonstrate willingness to be flexible as needed to accomplishdepartmental needs and goals.
