Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologyprogram/n/t
• One year of recent experience as an UltrasoundTechnologist./n/t
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)/n/t
• ValidUltrasound license in compliance with state regulations/n /n/n

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current RegisteredDiagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)/n/t
• CurrentARRT Certification in Sonography/n/t
• Current Credential fromCardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)/n/t

Summary:

/n /nThe Cardiac Sonographer provides specializeddiagnostic care by performing echocardiography to assess cardiacstructure and function. Working independently in diverse clinicalsettings, the technologist ensures high-quality imaging, accuratedata collection, and patient safety. This role involves patienteducation on the echocardiography process and active collaborationwith physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support accuratemedical diagnoses. /n /n /n

Essential Work Functions:

• Demonstrate expertise in cardiac echocardiography, including theuse of Doppler and 3-D imaging techniques/n/t
• Maintain strongproficiency in operating echocardiography equipment and applyingadvanced imaging techniques specific to cardiac assessments/n/t
• Review patient history and verify orders to ensure appropriateexaminations are conducted/n/t
• Educate patients and/or familymembers about the echocardiography procedures addressing questionsif they arise/n/t
• Identify, correct, and document imagingartifacts using echo-specific methods to ensure diagnosticquality/n/t
• Maintains accurate patient records and documentationin compliance with institutional policies and regulatorystandards/n/t
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinaryhealthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes/n/t
• Adhere toinfection control protocols and maintain a safe workenvironment/n/t
• Work efficiently in fast-paced and potentiallystressful environments, maintaining composure andprofessionalism/n/t
• Follow directions from supervisors and complywith facility policies, procedures, and standards/n/t
• Performother duties as assigned within the scope of practice for CardiacSonographer/n /n /n
