Maintains licensure, participates in CEU’S, performs ultrasoundprocedures. Participates in clinical and clerical activities.
Experience Required General, Vascular, portables, 1 year experiencepreferred. ARDMS eligible. Education Requirements Associate degreeor Equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Sonography school orprogram of Sonography. License/Certification Requirements

ARDMSCertification Requirements:
- Candidates must obtain ARDMS(American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)certification within six months of their hire date.
- Eligibilityfor the six-month grace period:
- Applicants must have successfullycompleted the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) exam.
Documentation of a passing grade for the SPI exam is required as aprerequisite for approval of the six-month period to obtain theARDMS certification.
- Expected to acquire RVT certification within12 months of their hire date.
- Departmental extensions on acase-by-case basis based on job performance.
- Expected training inelastography, thyroidectomies, pediatrics (echoencephalography,hips, spines), PVRs, TCDs, GYN exams, and all vascular exams(arterial and venous duplexes, dialysis grafts, extremity mappings,carotids, abdomen venous, etc.
