Contract We are actively seeking a skilled and certified Sonographer to join a reputable imaging team in Syracuse, NY. This position focuses on both general and vascular ultrasound , with an emphasis on women’s imaging . The ideal candidate will demonstrate high-quality imaging capabilities, clinical judgment, and strong patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently perform comprehensive ultrasound and vascular exams, including women’s health imaging Acquire and document accurate patient history and clinical data relevant to the exam Operate, maintain, and ensure cleanliness and functionality of ultrasound equipment Analyze sonographic images and distinguish normal from abnormal findings using independent clinical judgment Communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting radiologist in a clear and timely manner Assist in day-to-day operations of the ultrasound department including scheduling, quality assurance, and workflow optimization
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited or CHEA/USDOE-recognized program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography RDMS certification (Abdomen and OB/GYN required) Minimum 1 year of clinical sonography experience in a hospital or outpatient setting Demonstrated ability to perform both general and vascular ultrasound studies Ability to pass a pre-employment health screening and comply with workplace safety standards
Preferred Attributes:
Additional registry in vascular technology (RVT or RVS) is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to excellence in patient care and diagnostic accuracy Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a clinical team
