Compensation Range:
$33.00 – $42.90 The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE
Performs diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. Responsible for providing a wide range of highly technical diagnostic exams including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, GYN, abdominal and peripheral vascular, portable exams and interventional procedures. Completes training and receives regular direct supervision or guidance from a more senior sonographer. Receives orientation to the Department’s infrastructure, policies, protocols, workflows, procedures and routines. Responsible for scanning patients in a safe and efficient manner, completing all associated paper and computer work, and discharging the patient from the US department with appropriate post US instructions.

FT, 40 ours (Mon-Friday 11:30a-7:00p)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs ultrasound imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and policies, values, and mission of the organization. Adjusts equipment controls as needed to produce high quality images and prepares/presents them, with other pertinent patient information, for timely interpretation. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Prepares room and patient specific to exam to be performed. Uses an established work pattern to work efficiently and safely within an ultrasound environment. Reviews patient history and physician’s orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation. Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Adheres to safety policies. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography or related required or Associate’s degree and certificate in diagnostic medical sonography required Or equivalent combination of education and experience
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
