2226.91 2440.12 Sonographer (Breast, OB/GYN,AB) for Syracuse, NYRDMS Certification Requiredtwo years scanning experience and being registered in breast ultrasound is definitely optimal but not required. They are however required to have some experience with breast ultrasound. Due to the complexity of our highrisk patient population and the types of workups we do, it really is necessary that they have breast experience. Procedural background for biopsies is also a plus.

Qualifications:

Graduate of ultrasound program accredited by the Council for Higher Education(CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE}, that specifically conducts program accreditation in diagnosticmedical sonography. RDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/Gyn plus 2 year s experience required.

Must successfully pass preemployment health clearance.

Duties:

Responsible for independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. Responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, patient schedule, daily equipment maintenance, and Q/A. Be able to use independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings. Obtain appropriate medical history and communicate findings to the radiologist.
