12 Sonographer (Breast, OB/GYN,AB) for Syracuse, NY RDMS Certification Required two years scanning experience and being registered in breast ultrasound is definitely optimal but not required. They are however required to have some experience with breast ultrasound. Due to the complexity of our high-risk patient population and the types of workups we do, it really is necessary that they have breast experience. Procedural background for biopsies is also a plus.

Qualifications:

Graduate of ultrasound program accredited by the Council for Higher Education(CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE}, that specifically conducts program accreditation in diagnostic medical sonography. RDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/Gyn plus 2 year s’ experience required. Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance. BLS (AHA) Required Position requires a Female COVID Vaccination Required

RDMS-BR-American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography OR Sonographer, Diagnostic SSN Required DOB Required Looking for two years of scanning experience and being registered in breast ultrasound is optimal but not required. They are however required to have some experience with breast ultrasound. Due to the complexity of our high-risk patient population and the types of workups we do, they must have breast experience. Procedural background for biopsies is also a plus, but as long as they can scan and do regular breast ultrasounds it is not a deal breaker.

Duties:

Responsible for independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. Responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, patient schedule, daily equipment maintenance, and Q/A. Be able to use independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings. Obtain appropriate medical history and communicate findings to the radiologist.
