Ultrasound Technologist PRN Rotating Position Summary
- The position exists to provide ultrasound examinations for patients of all ages. Ultrasonographers provide patient care services using ultrasound imaging modalities.
- This includes assessing patient condition, operating ultrasound equipment, proficiency in PACS, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining equipment, supplies and medications.
- Ultrasonographers are also required to maintain necessary patient records and participate in the departmental Performance Improvement program.
- Ultrasonographers also function as clinical instructors for students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology and ultrasound programs.
- Night and weekend call may be required.
THE ULTRASOUND TECH PRN ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
Minimum Experience:
1 to 2 years of job-related experience is preferred.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
Must have a working knowledge of ultrasound procedures achieved through advanced training. Must acquire RDMS with a minimum of one modality within the first year of employment. RVT certification is required beginning 1/1/2017. CPR certification required. 2503006404
