Job Summary and Qualifications TheAdvanced Ultrasound Technologist may be required to performinvasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients,utilize sterile techniques and assist physicians as necessarythroughout the Mission Health System. Continuing education, learnedskills and experience will be utilized. This position will functionwithout constant supervision to produce superior quality imagingstudies. The Advanced Ultrasound Technologist must routinely workwithin a minimum of 3 qualifying ARDMS specialty certifications inaddition to ARDMS, ARRT or CCI Vascular certification as directedby department managers/supervisors to meet the specific needs ofthe departments. This includes but is not limited to; Abdomen (AB),Breast (BR), Fetal Echo (FE), Neurosonology (NE), Obstetrics &Gynecology (OB/GYN) or Pediatric Sonography (PS).

Whatqualifications you will need:

Required Education:

Graduate of an accredited ultrasoundprogram.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare relatedprofession.

Required License:

ARDMS or ARRT Registry in Ultrasound at timeof hire. Vascular Ultrasound Registry from either ARDMS, ARRT orCCI required upon hire. High Risk OB technologist must beregistered in OB/GYN. Must complete required CEU’s to maintaincertification. BCLS certified.

Preferred License:

ARDMS in multiple specialties.

Preferred Experience:

12 months previous experience inultrasound.

If High Risk OB Technologist, then preferred experienceis 3 years in ultrasound routinely performing OB/GYN exams withexperience in high risk Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days ofemployment start date Vascular Sonography must be obtained within 2 years ofemployment start date Associate DegreeMission Hospital is located in Asheville, NorthCarolina.
