How great would it be to work as an associate veterinarian enjoying 3-days off a week, with techs who are not only competent but enjoyable to be around, flexible and modern-thinking owners (who don’t give you a hard time when you feel the need to refer a patient out or your ACT is not the national average), and live near the beaches in Florida? This really isn’t a ‘too good to be true’ job posting, we exist and our hospital is Islandside Veterinary Care and Surgical Center in Cape Coral, FL. Located close to Fort Myers Beaches, Sanibel, and Captiva Islands our little spot of paradise in Southwest Florida is a place that really feels like home. We opened our practice in January 2017 with the goal of creating a place that not only offers quality, compassionate care to our patients and clients but also a practice in which we look forward to coming in to work. We are an independently owned practice. We have in-house bloodwork, Digital Radiographs, Digital Dental X-ray, are a fully paperless practice, and utilize a practice management software that is cloud-based (Pulse) so you can do your notes on your phone, tablet, computer, in clinic, at home, wherever internet access is available! We are currently a 4-doctor practice looking to add a fifth doctor to our staff. We are looking for a full time OR part time Associate Veterinarian to work up to 40 hours/week practicing common sense veterinary medicine.

- Practicing ethical veterinary medicine according to all applicable laws and codes.
- Using evidence-based medicine, education, and experience to provide the highest quality preventive care, diagnosis and treatment services for every pet you see.
- Partnering with clients to plan follow-up visits, provide home-care instructions, and education to ensure the long-term health of their pets Maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Fostering an effective veterinary support team by sharing your medical standards, exhibiting ethical practices, and your unique veterinary knowledge and experience.
- Creating and maintaining professional medical records for each and every case seen for examination
