Veterinarian MVATH Miami, FL 33165 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and veterinary medicine, with a focus on providing high-quality medical treatment to a variety of animals. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with staff and pet owners, and a commitment to ongoing education in veterinary practices. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status and diagnose medical conditions. Develop treatment plans for sick or injured animals, including administering medications and performing surgeries as needed. Provide preventative care, including vaccinations, parasite control, and wellness check-ups. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animal’s health, treatment options, and preventive care. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure the highest level of care is provided. Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education and training. Experience Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Experience in animal care, particularly in areas such as animal physiology, equine medicine, dog handling, and animal husbandry. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and aseptic techniques is preferred. Previous experience in veterinary critical care is a plus. Strong skills in animal handling and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
