The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and veterinary medicine, with a passion for improving the health and well-being of animals. This role requires expertise in various aspects of veterinary practice, including cat/dog handling, animal physiology, and critical care. Duties Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans for various species, including dogs, cats, and equine. Perform surgical procedures using aseptic techniques while ensuring the safety and comfort of the animals. Administer vaccinations, medications, and other treatments as prescribed. Provide emergency care for critically ill or injured animals. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care. Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of Florida. Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and handling techniques. Experience in veterinary critical care is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to work in a new, unknown, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Passion for animal welfare and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners.
