Job Description

Associate Veterinarian Hickory Flat Animal Hospital 2939 East Cherokee Drive, Canton, GA 30115 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical care to a variety of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. You will work closely with pet owners to diagnose and treat illnesses, perform routine check-ups, and educate clients on proper pet care. Our ideal candidate is passionate about animal welfare and possesses strong clinical skills. Our hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm. We can accommodate either part time or full time hours. Full time is considered 4 days/week. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status. Diagnose and treat a range of medical conditions in pets. Perform routine surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, mass removals, and dentals. Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed. Provide guidance on pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures to pet owners. Maintain accurate medical records for each animal treated. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations. Stay updated on the latest veterinary practices and advancements in animal care. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid veterinary license to practice in the state. Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices. Experience with animal handling and restraint techniques. Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to diagnostics. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. A genuine passion for animal care and welfare.
