Our ideal candidate will be traveling to the homes of families to bring them care as they guide their treasured pets in a peaceful passing. We are seeking someone to help support our client’s growing needs on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Enjoy the flexibility of fewer appointments each day. You will not be required to work all 4 days in a row. This position is daily rate and production based. We are committed to bring the utmost compassion, respect and understanding to these families while they are in the throes of grief and help guide them through a peaceful at-home euthanasia experience. Job Requirements:

Board Certified Veterinarian with a current DEA licence who will provide in-home hospice/palliative care and euthanasia services Own a smartphone capable of using mapping applications and the ability to use the phone in handsfree mode in the vehicle as well as the ability to perform virtual consultations through our telehealth options with the use of our communication system on a cell phone or compatible Ipad/Tablet/Computer/Laptop. Independant technician skills-placing butterfly catheters, potential intra-organ injections, SQ injections, medication calculations. You are sent to family homes independently and will need to service the pet’s with these skills on your own Recording medical, drug and milage records. We do reimburse for mileage. Must be able to independently lift 35#. Any additional weight we ask the families to help with. Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle that is well-maintained and capable of storing a 2’x4′ stretcher and body and capable of daily travel. Transportation of the pet to our partnered crematory Paws Whiskers and Wags. There are some cases when we service a family in our home like office in Decatur (80-90% travel can be expected) Strong sense of compassion and empathy with pet end of life care decisions with our families We provide client coordinating support staff who will be scheduling appointments with-in your scheduled hours All medical supplies are provided as well as PPE, body bags, blankets, etc.
