Paws Humane Society is a non-profit, high volume spay/neuter and affordable veterinary care clinic and limited admissions shelter located in Columbus, GA. We are working actively with local rescue groups and animal control to achieve a no kill community in Columbus, GA. Do you yearn for an opportunity to help end the suffering of millions of companion animals? We currently have an opening for a full time veterinarian to provide spay/neuter and affordable veterinary services to the underserved in our community. Paws offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including 3 weeks vacation, CE and licensing fees, liability insurance and a group health insurance plan. Hours are primarily Monday – Friday with no emergency or on call hours. Are you motivated by your love of animals? Candidates must have a passion for animal welfare and be team oriented. You must be committed to providing high quality-high volume spay neuter surgeries to owned and shelter animals, wellness exams and preventative care to owned animals through our affordable wellness clinic and care to the animals housed in our shelter. Requirements:
  • Must have current license to practice veterinary medicine in Georgia.
  • Must have Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
  • Must have background in small animal medicine and surgery.
  • Must have excellent work attendance record.

  • Must be interested in animal welfare population control and serving low-income communities.
  • Must possess ability to work in high volume, fast paced clinic environment.
  • Must possess ability to maintain good working relationship with clients and staff members.
  • Must possess ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Maintain open mind regarding changes and be willing to learn, implement and teach new protocols.
