Our K2K9 Veterinary Hospital is a USDA-certified facility supporting hundreds of working dogs, including Labradors, Malinois, German Shepherds, Dutch Shepherds, and German Pointers. Position Summary We are seeking a full-time Veterinarian (30+ hours/week) to join our high-paced, mission-driven team. You will work alongside a part-time veterinarian, veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure the health and performance of our canine population. This role also includes consulting on research and operational projects as needed. Key Responsibilities Provide general and preventative veterinary care for working dogs Perform surgeries, dental procedures, radiology (OFA preferred), and lab diagnostics Manage breeding, whelping, and neonatal care Support shelter/rescue canine medicine Collaborate with kennel staff, trainers, and program managers Maintain compliance with USDA, DEA, and NC veterinary regulations Serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external projects Qualifications Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or international equivalent) NC Veterinary License (in good standing) DEA License (Schedule II-V) USDA Accreditation U.S. Citizenship (required) OFA Certification (preferred) Minimum 4 years of veterinary experience (preferred) Minimum 3 years working with working dog breeds (preferred) Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment Schedule Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts Occasional overtime and emergency on-call (to be discussed) Benefits 401(k) with matching Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Continuing education stipend Professional liability insurance Certification and license reimbursement Work Location K2K9 Canine Training Academy 369 Currie Rd, Jackson Springs, NC 27281 Equal Opportunity Employer K2K9 is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
