The practice is an independent hospital that has been purchased by an associate in 2020. It is growing rapidly and needs a dedicated associate to help run the day to day operations. With just receiving our 50th year AAHA accreditation, we practice to highest standards. We are predominantly a cat and dog hospital with an occasional exotic pet. Digital radiology and ultrasound, most current treatment and surgical protocols. Lots of mentoring for newer grads! Role Description This is a part time or full-time on-site role for a Veterinarian at Miller Place Animal Hospital. The Veterinarian will be responsible for diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgeries, conducting physical examinations, and providing preventative care for animals. Additionally, the Veterinarian will collaborate with other team members to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. The new graduates are encouraged and plenty of mentoring is provided. Qualifications Diagnostic skills, Surgical skills, and Physical Examination skills Experience in providing preventative care and medical treatment for animals Knowledge of veterinary medicine and procedures Ability to work effectively in a team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Dedication to animal welfare and compassionate care License to practice veterinary medicine in New York Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree Salary to Commensurate with experience and hours worked $140K to over $200K Additional Benefits- Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K, Paid time off, Dues and CE allowances
