The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to animal health and welfare, providing high-quality veterinary care to a diverse range of animals, including small animals. This role requires excellent clinical skills, a thorough understanding of animal science, and the ability to work effectively with both animals and their owners. Duties Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions. Surgical skill preferred but not mandatory. Administer vaccinations and medications as needed. Provide treatment plans and educate pet owners on proper care and preventive measures. Handle various species with confidence, ensuring proper animal restraint during examinations and treatments. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to maintain a clean and efficient clinic environment. Keep accurate medical records for all patients, documenting treatments, progress, and outcomes. Participate in laboratory work including diagnostics such as blood tests, urinalysis, and imaging studies. Stay updated on the latest veterinary practices, advancements in animal care, and continuing education opportunities. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid veterinary license to practice in the commonwealth state of Pennsylvania . Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care.
