Associate Veterinarian Are you looking for a stress-free, weekend-free, innovative placeto practice quality medicine in a warm, beautiful, pet andfamily-friendly beach community? Clements Ferry Veterinary is an independent, privately owned,cutting-edge, rapidly growing, companion animal practice located inone of the fastest growing areas of Charleston, SC, and the fastestgrowing area in the state. We focus on a family-oriented cultureand a positive work-life balance, which is why we offer a 4-daywork week with no weekends or on-call. We focus on preventivewellness care and value quality service over quantity andquotas. We opened in May 2018 and have rapidly grown to a 2-3 doctorpractice. We have planned and have room to expand to an 8,000square foot facility. Being so new allows us to grow with theindustry and implement the newest and most up-to-date modalitiesand services as we expand. We encourage areas of special interestand look to add new services as we grow. We currently offer DigitalDR radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, DoctorVetcold laser, and cryotherapy in a Fear Free facility. Compensation is flexible and based on experience and production,with upside earning potential. Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive rapport with clientele through humbleservitude and commitment to clear communication, client education,and an emphasis on high-quality, preventative medicine.
- Surgery is scheduled 1-2 times a week, and we do expect ourveterinarians to perform routine OVH and castrations, massremovals, cystotomies, foreign body exploratory, as well as DATwith extractions. We work with Mobile Veterinary Surgery for ourorthopedic cases.
- We offer extended appointment times because our veterinariansperform high-touch, head-to-tail examinations with additional timeto address client questions and concerns. We promise financialtransparency, so our technicians will update the treatment plan andreview it with the client to reflect our doctors’recommendations.
- Outside of the exam room, our doctors follow through withclient updates on labwork and pending diagnostics. They work intandem with our technicians to gather follow-up information, aswell as prepare discharge instructions to send home after eachvisit.
- Maintain accurate charting through our cloud-based software,ezyVet.
Qualifications:
- Valid SC state DVM license
- Federal accreditation to endorse pet health travel certificatesthrough APHIS
- Valid DEA license to dispense controlled substances
- 2+ years practicing veterinary medicine
