Whether you prefer working just one day a week or more, the choice is yours. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions. Administer vaccinations and medications as needed. Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and other necessary operations. Utilize animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the animals and staff during examinations and treatments. Provide emergency veterinary care for critical cases requiring immediate attention. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting treatments, medications, and follow-up care. Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry, nutrition, and preventive healthcare practices. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations. Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous education. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid veterinary license to practice in the state. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and critical care practices. Experience in animal catheterization and laboratory procedures is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
