Position Highlights Shelter & Community Care:

Provide essential medical care and surgical procedures for shelter and community animals in a high-volume setting.

Outreach Impact:

Influence public health by expanding veterinary access across the region and supporting cruelty investigations.

Team Collaboration:

Lead and mentor veterinary support staff while driving best practices in compassionate animal care.

Core Responsibilities Innovate and Improve Programs:

Design and implement protocols for large-scale animal care operations. Collaborate with academic partners to enhance shelter medicine strategies. Mentor veterinary staff to uphold quality standards.

Perform Advanced Clinical Services:

Conduct high-volume spay/neuter and other surgical procedures. Deliver preventive care, diagnostics, and emergency services. Evaluate complex medical conditions and develop treatment strategies.

Advance Animal Welfare Advocacy:

Participate in cruelty investigations, offering forensic support. Provide expert legal testimony to support animal protection efforts.

Lead and Inspire:

Guide veterinary teams in maintaining effective workflows and compassionate care culture. Ensure best practices are followed across medical and shelter teams. Engage in

Community Health:

Lead community-focused veterinary initiatives. Expand local partnerships and mobile outreach services to increase care access. Required Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) from an accredited institution. Active Tennessee veterinary license .
