Veterinarian Smoky Mountain Animal Clinic Seymour, TN 37865 At Smoky Mountain Animal Clinic, we provide quality veterinary services for Cats and Dogs – offering routine wellness & preventative care, along with multiple surgical & dental procedures. Our services include:

Wellness Exams & Preventative care: Ensuring our patients are happy and healthy and owners are well informed/educated on their pets’ wellbeing.

Surgical services:

Expert care for a wide range of procedures, from spays and neuters, dental cleanings and treatments, to more advanced surgeries.

Allergy, Illness, and Disease Care:

X-ray, Ultrasound, Hematological and Cytological diagnostic tools are used to aid in therapeutic treatment decisions.

Emergency Care:

Compassionate care in case of unexpected illness or injury.

End of Life Care:

Thoughtful euthanasia and aftercare.

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

M Strong communication skills:

Written, Verbal, & Listening. Solid knowledge of Veterinary medicine. Comfortable working in a fast-paced / sometimes emergency setting. Ability to think rationally and make quick, decisive decisions. Work well as a team-oriented environment. Capability to give, receive, follow directions. Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies and procedures. Perform surgeries, Interpret Diagnostic Results, and prescribe medications / Maintain medical records. Empathy and Compassion. Ability to consult with clients – Advise on preventative care and treatment options, provide counsel and comfort around pet end of life care, sharing knowledge with clients on their pet’s diagnosis.

Compensation:

Hourly wages ensure that you are paid for your time – did you stay after to consult with a client? Did you need to come in to make some phone calls for patients with labs that returned? Did the day run longer than expected because of work-ins? Hourly wages makes sure you are compensated appropriately for every aspect of the job. It also allows more flexible scheduling – are you out of vacation days but need a week for a family trip? No problem!

Current Open Hours:

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm In summer we normally extend to 5pm until Labor Day Closed Major Holidays (Christmas Eve and Christmas, Thanksgiving minimum) All Vets and Support Staff have a say in any scheduling changes (Do we want to be open Memorial Day? Should be have an occasional Saturday?, Should we take a full week off for Christmas?)

Additional Perks & Information:

Full Time Veterinarians would also receive assistance with licensing fees, CE fees, and liability insurance. Discounts for personal pets & discounted pet food programs. Current owner has been with the practice for 11 years and owned the practice for 7 years. Many employees have been with the company 7-10 years. Bonuses are distributed to team members after monthly or quarterly goals are achieved. Occasional group outings are offered (never mandatory) like Kayaking trips or Painting nights (with our without a twist). Annual Christmas bonuses and gingerbread decorating party.
