Overview Established in 1988, Treyburn Country Club is a private country club that offers access to fine dining, tennis and fitness facilities, family amenities and a top-ranked 18 hole golf course designed by Tom Fazio. The club has an active membership and plays 15,000 rounds a year. Treyburn Country Club is owned and operated by McConnell Golf LLC, a network of 14 private clubs throughout the Carolinas, Virginia & eastern Tennessee. Assistant Professional will be career-minded and provide the opportunity to touch and learn all aspects of the golf operation.
The candidate will be heavily involved in all operations of running a 1st class club experience including, instructional programing, merchandising, tournament management, supervising staff, and responsible for the golf operation in the Director of Golf’s absence. The candidate will be mentored and encouraged to accomplish their personal and professional goals and advance their career within the industry. Experience Required 1-3 years of experience in golf industry preferred Comprehensive knowledge of Golf Genius, GHIN, handicap manual, and the Rules of Golf Must have strong organizational skills Candidate must possess positive, charismatic disposition Team player mentality is a MUST Must have exceptional communication, computer, and customer service skills Essential Responsibilities The Assistant Golf Professional at Treyburn Country Club will assist the Director of Golf in all aspects of the golf operations. Duties will include but are not limited to: Provide high level customer service to all members and guest while promoting the game of golf Daily Golf Shop Operations Provide private and group instruction to members Retailing and merchandising golf shop Proper inventory management and controls Provide thorough and accurate club-fitting to members and guest Supervision and training of Outside Operations Staff Execute and run member events/tournament
Benefits PGA Dues:
The Assistant Golf Professional will have their annual member dues paid in full
Employee Meals:
Employees will be provided meals while on duty
Uniforms:
The club will provide uniforms to the Assistant Professional that enables he/she to dress in a professional manner on a daily basis
Education/Tournament Allowance:
The club will reimburse the Assistant Professional for continuing education as well as selected tournament entry fees approved by the Director of Golf. 100% of lesson
Income:
The Assistant Golf Professional will receive 100% of additional income from teaching individual, group & junior instruction. Insurance/401k: The Assistant Golf Professional is eligible for health and dental insurance provided by the club as well as the company’s 401K retirement plan per the employee handbook
Vacation:
The Assistant Golf Professional is entitled to vacation per the employee handbook.
