We are a public facility located in the heart of Durham with a diverse customer base from the surrounding RTP area. A successful candidate will enjoy being around a fun golf environment tied to the local community and support our many non-profit affiliates. This is a part time position working roughly 24-30 hours per week, 2-3 days a week in the off season (December-February), and 3-4 days a week in the busy season (March-November). Both weekday, weekend and some holiday availability are required. This position is an entry level job with the opportunity for advancement to Key Holder, or for those aspiring to become and Assistant Golf Professional. Must be 18 years or older. Duties Maintain a professional appearance at all times Use point of sale system (Fore Up) to check in customers for golf course, driving range, and various pro shop purchases Answer phones to book tee times with customers, handle junior academy registrations, clinic registrations, gift cards purchases, etc. Restock and make copies of various pro shop documents Communicate with starters and marshals regarding tee times and pace of play Clean, organize, and restock Pro Shop inventory for merchandise, apparel, golf balls, and golf clubs Assist with organization of club fitting equipment Administrative data entry as required Routine cleaning of bathrooms Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or customer servicer preferred but not required Golf industry experience a plus Benefits Use of golf course and driving range Discounts on pro shop merchandise and golf clubs
