Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The Athletic Department is a vital part of student life and the educational process atElizabeth City State University. It provides a well-rounded schedule of college athleticcompetition designed to encourage participation by the student body. The departmentencourages physical
fitness and the development of physical skills and emotional control. Description of Work The Coordinator for Student-Athlete Success ( SAS) will serve as the secondary liaison to the Director of Student Success and Wellness and the Office of Student Success, for student accessibility services. Under the supervision of the Director of SASW, the Coordinator will provide wide-ranging support services for intercollegiate student-athletes in the areas of academic and wellness that is consistent with the University’s mission, the NCAA , and the CIAA.   • Ability to evaluate, update and apply learning to improve overall program(s) specialty or a broad range of student centered program services.

Ability to research and develop new, innovative approaches to address and improve current and future programs, processes and procedures. Ability to utilize and interpret data from a broad scope to implement innovative approaches and program improvements. Ability to develop comprehensive reports to be utilized in a variety of areas.   • Ability to evaluate accomplishments of the unit to ensure program missions and goals are being met. Ability to make final review for most difficult, controversial or sensitive work to assess and problem solve Minimum Training and Experience Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and/or the equivalent, plus two
  • three years of experience related to the area of assignment; equivalent combination of training and experience.
