COM Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Class Management:

Plan and lead toddler gymnastics classes for children ages 1-3 with a focus on movement, motor skill development, and fun. Introduce basic gymnastics concepts such as balance, coordination, tumbling, and flexibility using age-appropriate equipment. Foster a safe, nurturing, and playful environment where young children can explore movement and build confidence. Use songs, props, obstacle courses, and creative activities to keep classes engaging and developmentally appropriate. Encourage social skills, listening, and group participation through structured yet flexible class routines. Communicate regularly with parents and NVSA staff to provide class updates and progress feedback.

Qualifications:

Experience working with toddlers or young children in a gymnastics, movement, or early childhood setting. Understanding of toddler developmental stages and age-appropriate physical activities. Energetic, patient, and caring with a passion for working with very young children. Ability to create a fun and safe learning space that encourages exploration and growth. Background in gymnastics, early movement, or early childhood education preferred. Certification in First Aid/CPR (preferred but not required).
