ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ensure prompt opening and closing of the facility. Provide superior customer service to all members, guests and staff. Greet and welcome all patrons to facility. Serve as a source of information for the guests and put them at ease. Cross promotion of other Company amenities at every opportunity. Assist in merchandising to include receiving, purchasing, shop displaying, and shop appearance, pricing, restocking and conducting inventories. Responsible for day-to-day operations, including but not limited to player registration, booking tee times, merchandising, monitoring rangers and pace of play. Complete daily reports. Assist in preparation of annual budgets. Prepare and present a clean, organized retail area. Restock displays and counter and help with reorders. Continually improve communication skills with regard to telephone and written correspondence. This includes notes for an employee, information provided on tee-links and responding to customer requests. Qualify for and conduct golf clinics and private lessons upon approval of Head Golf Professional. Coordinate golf groups and tournaments for our Company. This is not limited to just the course you are assigned to. Assist and participate in organizational meetings and evaluation of the golf staff. Greet all golfers and assist in transporting golf bags to and from cars and golf cart. Serve as a source of information for the guests and to put them at ease. Promote other company amenities at every opportunity. Maintain fleet of golf carts daily that has a clean and neat appearance. Responsible to stock carts with score cards, pencil, ice, sand, etc. before each round. Responsible for excellent presentation of the work area to include the following: bag drop, driving range, cart barn, staging area, bag room and parking lot (if you see it, pick it up). Responsible for range ball maintenance and distribution of clean, range balls to guests. Maintain and improve condition of the course and course markings, i.e., pick up butts and straighten hazard stakes. Service members and guests after the round with above and beyond effort and prepare the returned cart for another round and return to the barn for charging. Help group coordinators and fellow staff members to prepare for all groups. Maintain proper dress code and present a pleasant attitude at all times.
