Job Summary:

The Field Hockey program at Lincoln Memorial University is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join the team as a Graduate Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is passionate about the sport of field hockey and eager to gain valuable experience in coaching and player development at the collegiate level. The Graduate Assistant will work closely with the coaching staff to assist in all aspects of the field hockey program.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the coaching staff with planning, organizing, and conducting team practices and training sessions.
• Assist in game preparation, including scouting opponents and developing game strategies.
• Provide individual player development support, including skill instruction and mentoring.
• Assist with recruitment efforts, including identifying and evaluating potential student-athletes.
• Support team travel arrangements and logistics for away games and tournaments.
• Help maintain team equipment and facilities in collaboration with the coaching staff.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, video analysis, and coordinating team events.
• Provide academic support and monitor student-athletes’ progress.
• Uphold NCAA compliance and university policies and ensure the well-being of student-athletes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Playing experience in field hockey at the collegiate level is preferred. Knowledge of the rules, strategies, and fundamentals of field hockey. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills and proficiency in relevant software.
