In this role, you will support the daily operations of our bakery by assisting in food preparation, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a keen interest in the food industry, contributing to the creation of delicious pastries and baked goods that delight our customers. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of various baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and bread. Follow recipes and adhere to food safety standards to ensure high-quality products. Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers, taking orders, and answering questions about products. Use kitchen tools safely and effectively, including knives for food preparation. Package baked goods attractively for display and sale. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment and utensils. Support the head baker with cake decorating tasks as needed. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is necessary. Requirements Previous experience in food handling or working in a bakery is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers. Basic knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry. Familiarity with cooking techniques and food preparation methods. Experience or interest in pastry making and cake decorating is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
