About the role The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for storing and organizing all food and kitchen supplies delivered to the hotel’s culinary department. This role works closely with the culinary and purchasing teams to ensure that all products meet quality standards, are properly documented, and are stored in accordance with food safety regulations. What you will do

  • Receive and properly store all food and kitchen supplies in designated areas, maintaining cleanliness and adherence to food safety guidelines.
  • Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) to minimize waste and spoilage.
  • Monitor inventory levels, report discrepancies, and assist with stock control.
  • Label all items with appropriate information and maintain minimum/maximum par levels to support timely reordering.
  • Ensure all requisitions are fulfilled promptly and accurately, in line with storeroom hours and outlet needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all storage areas, including refrigerators, freezers, dry storage, loading dock, and receiving areas.
  • Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and internal control procedures in compliance with company and regulatory standards. What you bring
  • Prior stocking or receiving experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and vendors.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
