The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a focus on baking. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods for a la carte dining/banquets, club special events and member takeout orders, while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist Executive Pastry Chef in day to day needs. Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods and breads. Decorate cakes and other desserts with artistic flair and precision. Ensure all food production meets quality standards and is presented attractively. Follow recipes accurately while also being able to adjust ingredients as needed for taste and texture. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to meet production demands and assist in food preparation as needed. Stay updated on baking trends and techniques to continually improve skills. Qualifications Proven experience in baking or culinary arts is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Knowledgeable in recipe development. Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and knives safely and efficiently. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment. A creative mindset with a passion for baking and creating delicious products. Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results in all baked goods. Current Certifications in Food Handlers and Servsafe required.
