This will be a part time role only with a minimum of 5-8 hours per week for $21.00 an hour pay. Hours may potentially increase based on performance near the 3 month mark. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong understanding of kitchen operations, as it pertains to vegan baking. As a Bakery kitchen assistant, you will play a crucial role in bakery order preparations, ensuring that ingredients are prepped and ready for baking, while adhering to food safety standards. This position is perfect for individuals looking to grow their baking skills. Responsibilities Prepare and shop ingredients and order preparation as per recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the preparation of cupcakes, donuts, cakes, brownies, cookies and frostings and customer deliveries as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times. Collaborate with owner to ensure timely bakery orders. Stock and rotate supplies, ensuring freshness and quality of ingredients. Assist with inventory management by reporting low stock levels to supervisors. Requirements Previous experience in culinary or baking roles is preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment is a plus.
