We are seeking a talented and creative Part-Time Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for artistic design, a keen eye for detail, and experience in cake decorating. This role is crucial in bringing our customers’ special occasion visions to life through beautiful and delicious ice cream creations.
Responsibilities:
Decorate a variety of ice cream cakes according to customer specifications and shop standards.
- Utilize various decorating techniques including piping, frosting, writing, and applying edible decorations.
- Ensure all cakes are decorated to a high standard of quality and visual appeal.
- Maintain a clean and organized decorating station and adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Manage cake order forms and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with other duties as assigned, such as preparing cake components or light cleaning, during downtime.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (1+ year preferred) in cake decorating.
- Strong artistic ability and creativity.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of various decorating tools and techniques.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 20-30 pounds occasionally.
- Food handler’s permit/certificate (or willingness to obtain one promptly).
- Reliable and punctual.
