Baker Mimi’s Bakery 253 East Stuart Avenue, Lake Wales, FL 33853 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling and preparation, with a focus on creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing a variety of pastries, breads, muffins, donuts, and desserts while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a wide range of products including breads, pastries, muffins, donuts, and cookies. Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation. Manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients; assist in ordering as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards. Package finished products for display or delivery while ensuring quality control. Responsible for the scaling and shaping of all breads, bagels, and pastries. Work with a sense of efficiency and purpose to get the most done that we can Ensure that all bread and pastry production are completed daily according to the opening checklist and ready to sell by 7:00 am Tuesday thru Friday and 8:00 am Saturdays. Meet with Pastry Chef for assignments, changes, and any other information pertinent to the job performance. Establish priority items for the day Qualifications Proven experience in food handling and food preparation, preferably in a bakery or culinary setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Pastry or baking culinary courses preferred. Knowledge of laminated pastry a must. Excellent time management skills a must. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Familiarity with pastry techniques. A passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes is essential. Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends as needed.
