Baker/Pastry Chef Meraki Bakehouse Lakeland, FL 33801 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our culinary team; that works well with others and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a love for creating delicious baked goods; as well as the ability to learn from others and take constructive criticism as it is meant, not personally. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality pastries, and desserts that meet our standards of excellence. Some days will be less in the creative realm and more in the production, following recipes, and preparing the fillings, dough, and garnishes for our pastries. Your attention to detail will play a crucial role in delighting our customers and enhancing our menu offerings. Duties Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including pastries, cakes, and cookies. Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation. Work with a sense of efficiency and purpose to get the most done that we can Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair while adhering to the bakery standards. Package finished products for sale or catering orders, ensuring they are visually appealing and properly labeled. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, following all health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Experience Previous experience as a Baker or in a similar culinary role is preferred. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety practices, and pastry techniques. Experience in piping is highly desirable. Familiarity with customer service environments is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
