Baker Schlotzsky’s Jackson, GA 30233 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with a commitment to producing high-quality baked goods. This role involves preparing a variety of baked items, ensuring that all products meet our standards for taste and presentation. The Baker will also play a key role in catering events and providing excellent customer service. Duties Prepare and bake a wide range of products including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies. Decorate cakes and pastries to meet customer specifications and enhance visual appeal. Ensure all food handling and production processes comply with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the catering team to create custom orders for events. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, including proper storage of ingredients. Package finished products for sale or delivery, ensuring quality control at every stage. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their orders and addressing any inquiries. Qualifications Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within food production. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and cake decorating skills. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations. Excellent knife skills for food preparation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients. A passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes is highly desirable.
