Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Part-Time Bakery Assistant to join our team at Finca to Filter. Contribute to the production and creation of delectable baked goods! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking techniques, a keen attention to detail, and a genuine interest in the baking arts. This role will involve preparing a variety of cafe and bakery items while maintaining our established standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of baked goods, such as cookies, muffins, biscuits, and quiche. Mix and prepare doughs and batters according to our established recipes. Perform production prep tasks, such as cubing butter, chopping apples, cooking bacon, and scooping cookie dough Uphold food safety and hygiene standards throughout the baking process. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by performing regular cleaning tasks, such as doing dishes, sweeping, and mopping. Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure a seamless workflow and timely product delivery.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in a food service kitchen environment. Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity for handling baking tools and equipment. Comfortable working in a hot and often noisy environment.
