Colette Bread & Bakeshop is a young, busy, colorful, rustic neighborhood bakery in the heart of walkable Poncey Highlands. We offer our products to a growing list of wholesale clients. We are open for retail 6 days a week and offer fun intimate baking classes in the evenings. We specialize in naturally fermented breads and traditional pastry that evolve with the seasons. We have a loyal clientele who sometimes come everyday to get their bread and pastry and we love drawing on that neighborhood vibe. We are looking for positive folks who want to grow their skills and are interested in being a part of a team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Lead AM Baker to help lead this team into the next step of our existence! Colette opened with a bang, with long lines everyday we are open and we are looking for someone who wants to join this fast paced, high standards, fun operation. We are looking for folks with previous bakery/restaurant/pastry experience, with an eye for detail and a desire to grow the team professionally and positively. The daily responsibilities of our Lead Baker/ Manager include but are not limited to: leading the team in it’s daily bakes, completing daily pars for wholesale and retail, managing quality, recipe testing and menu growth, scheduling, inventory control, and general daily delegation of day to day tasks. Applicant must have previous bakery experience. Must have a background in missing ingredients, knife work, and is highly preferred they have an understanding of basics like scones, muffins, flaky dough, etc… In general, this role is responsible for making sure our wholesale orders get out on time, our retail shelves our stocked with high quality pastry, and our staff is staying on task throughout their shifts.

COMPENSATION
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $18.00 – $22.00
