Baker Miko’s Donuts 137 Albertson Parkway, Broussard, LA 70518 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an old school work ethic, grit, small or large background in baking and food preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality baked and fried goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for rolling a variety of donuts, specialty donuts, cinnamon rolls, kolaches, pastries and more while ensuring that all food safety and handling standards are met. We are looking for someone that enjoys early morning hours, creativity, and a passion for what we stand for and what we do. This person must be able to take on tasks as needed and take initiative to get things done. Duties Prepare and roll dough for donuts and kolaches. Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes to ensure consistency in taste and quality. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, fryers, and dough rollers safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with owners to create new recipes monthly and help with creativity and efficiency. Manage the baking crew and kitchen staff as needed. Be a servant leader and teacher as needed. Skills Proficient in baking techniques and food preparation methods. Not mandatory but preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations within the food industry. Experience with pastry creation is preferred but not required. Creativity skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for cooking and creating delicious baked and fried products that delight customers. Our donut shop is a place of respect, moral, skill, and passion for the industry.
