Production Baker Lichter & Levin Delicatessen 1 Market Street, Northampton, MA 01060 BOH (Kitchen and Bakery) – dedicated and experienced team members who take pride in precision, speed, and teamwork. Must haves – 4+ years experience and weekend availability.

Job Description:

A minimum of four years of professional baking experience is required to apply. Candidates should have a well rounded knowledge of different baking techniques, including bread and pastry. This is a small but mighty team, so you’ll be expected to complete any of the recipes we make. Efficient communication and time management is a must. You’ll be working closely with the bakery manager, to ensure that both bakery cases are stocked daily, as well as our catering program and ala carte special orders. Skills in cake decoration and an eye for aesthetics is always desired and appreciated.

Responsibilities:

Consistently show up on time Follow all recipes as written Completing the daily morning bake in a timely manner Having everything ready for open Completing the daily prep lists and regular cleaning tasks Keeping all walk ins, low boys, and freezers organized and clean Maintaining kitchen cleanliness (including routine cleaning tasks, FIFO) Having an eye on inventory Answer staff and customer questions about product with ease Have thorough knowledge of menu and allergens Taking special orders Retaining quality of bakes at all times Maintaining consistency of product

Requirements:

Four years professional baking experience minimum Morning and weekend availability is a must Must be able to maintain a cleanly and sanitary work station at all times Must have a thorough understanding of kitchen safety Must be able to lift 50lbs Must be able to work on your feet for 8+ hours Must have reliable transportation Knowledge in kitchen calls to ensure safety and smooth flow (ex: sharp, hot behind, heard) Excellent at communcation Servsafe Certification Allergen Certification Shifts start at 6AM Adhere to dress code (including non slip shoes) Having a good sense of kitchen flow Time management Ability to easily go up and down stairs regularly
